Melaka....My Unplanned Trip (Part 2)

It’s was already 3 p.m. when we reached Melaka and it took us about 1.5 hours just to do the Jonker Walk in my Part 1 posting. Then we decided to move on the other part of the city as quick as possible so that we don’t reached home too late!!! Hahaha...very rushing, huh?? Random pictures of another version of my "what you see is what you get".

Ah....the great A’Famosa. No matter how many times you come here, you’ll take picture probably at the same spot and said "here I come again". Well, this is one of the most photographed landmark in Melaka.

This is the remains of Santiago Bastion which was unearthed during the construction of Dataran Pahlawan. Too bad beneath it, rubbish were thrown by some irresponsible people.

The Becas of Stadthuys Square. Just behind the Tower Clock.

The Becas of Jalan Kota in front of the famous A’famosa.

This way up to St. Paul’s Hill..... it’s a pity that my in-law cannot go up.

I’m grateful that I still can climb on these steps up to the hill.

Well, the steps lead to this place, St. Paul Church. You know where I took this picture from...right?

The name “Christ Church Melaka”, 1753. It’s one of the most photographed landmarks. I managed to get “rid” on the people around this area (about 200++ minimum), like I was alone there. Great, right?

We saw this at the river quay. What an interesting structure.

This is the most famous ship in the city. The Portuguese Galleon (Replica or "Flor de la Mar"). Vital Statistic? Height – 34m, Length – 36m & Width – 8m.

Next to the ship you will find Maritime Museum and we found a friend inside.

The our one and only Hang Tuah...

Me : Hi...

Hang Tuah : (mute)

Me : Can take picture or not?

Hang Tuah : (mute)

Me : ...... (camera snapping). Thks

Hang Tuah : (mute)

Me : ...... (run!!!)

We wanted to go up there, but the queue was too long and we were running out of time.

We wanted to cruise the river, but it was fully booked and we have to wait for two hours to get the next cruise. No way lah..... next time may be.

It’s now 6:30 p.m. All of us felt very tired. Lots of places we skipped and foregone . My mother in-law legs were shivering (long walk you know). So, we walked slowly toward where we parked our car on the “legal” parking bay. You know what? We saw a piece of paper between the windscreen and the wiper. Tadaaa..... a summon of RM30 from the MBMB.

Wife : What is that?

Me : Summon (congratulation ticket) lah.....

Wife : Why got summon one?

Me : I don’t know..

Wife : Why you don’t know one...you never check meh?

Me : How do I know lah...rushing trip mah.

Wife :........

Wife : So how?

Me : What?

Wife : Pay or not?

Me : Offer RM30 payment until 21st June 2008 wor...

Wife : Then?

Me : Pay RM50 after that....

Wife : If not....

Me : Errr.....not mentioned. But they strike out the court action wor.

Wife : So how? Now cannot pay, all closed shop already.

Me : Can pay money order.... want to pay or not?

We are still thinking.........

Btw, we reached home around 11:oo p.m.
